Rieccomi con un mega post di confronti tra i miei top coat ad asciugatura rapida preferiti. Chi ne uscirà vincitore? Per non tenervi col fiato sospeso (ssssse, come no, ve ce vedo proprio!) vi dico sin da subito che ne parlerò in ordine di preferenza.

Here I am with a new polish wars between my favourite fast drying top coats. I decided to list them in order of preference. I won't translate the part dedicated to price and availability, since it is obviously strictly connected to Italian market.
Pro: ha l'asciugatura più veloce della Galassia. Mettetelo alla prova coi layering più mappazzoni, con le nail art più stratificate e lui niente, non fa una piega, asciuga veramente in un attimo. E' davvero a prova di cialtrona imbranata (quale io sono) che schianta la mano contro un oggetto X due minuti dopo aver finito di pittarsi le unghie: col Seche Vite potete essere certe che la vostra manicure non sarà minimamente intaccata. E poi ha un effetto glossy pazzesco.
Contro: contiene toluene. Sono certa che siete tutte preparatissime in merito alla potenziale pericolosità di questa sostanza, se così non fosse vi invito a cliccare qui. Molte lamentano che si addensi al punto di diventare quasi inutilizzabile già a metà boccetta, ma a me non è mai successo. Verso i 2/3 è diventato un po' denso, ma con qualche goccia del thinner di Orly è ridiventato come nuovo. Tuttavia, lo sconsiglierei per "topcoatare" degli stamping, perché tende a sbavare un po'. E' invece perfetto per gradient e nail art effetto acquerello, perché fonde molto bene i colori insieme.
Costo e reperibilità: in Italia lo distribuisce Clarissa Nails, che lo vende a circa 5€ in fiera, mentre i costi dai suoi rivenditori sono variabili (10-14€). Lo potete trovare anche da Capello Point (8.90-10€) o da QVC (14€ per due pezzi). Oppure ci si può rivolgere on line ai vari etailers europei.
Seche Vite: this is probably the most loved fast drying top coat. And it's my most favourite too.
Pros: it dries your manicure lightning fast. Even if you applied tons of nail polish, it dries your manicure in a couple of minutes. If you're a bit clod like me, and tend to smash into everything with freshly painted nails, Seche Vite is a lifeline. And it gives an amazing glossy effect!
Cons: it contains toluene. I'm sure you know everything about the possible danger of this chemical substance; if you don't, you can read this post. Many ladies state that it tends to become gloppy after they use half a bottle, and it's almost impossible to thin. I have used two bottles of Seche Vite and never had this issue. It became gloppy when it was almost finished but I used a few drops of my usual thinner (Orly) and I was again able to use it. I won't recommend to use Seche Vite over a stamping manicure, because it tends to smudge a bit. On the contrary, I highly recommend its use over a gradient or watercolor nails, because it blends colours very nicely.
CND Air Dry
Pro: garantisce tempi di asciugatura davvero molto rapidi, di poco superiori al Seche Vite. Non contiene ingredienti dannosi. Tende ad addensarsi intorno ai 2/3 di boccetta, ma si rivitalizza facilmente con un thinner qualunque e si riesce ad utilizzare fino all'ultima goccia. Lucida bene lo smalto, anche se non con l'effetto specchio del Seche.
Contro: analogamente al Sèche, tende a sbavare leggermente lo stamping o i decori. Ma questa è un po' caratteristica comune di tutti i top coat fast drying.
Costo e reperibilità: in Italia lo distribuisce Ladybird House, che lo vende a 7.50€ in fiera e intorno ai 15€ sul loro shop on line e distributori. Oppure lo si può acquistare on line oltre gli italici confini, ma su siti americani.
CND Air Dry
Pro: it dries your manicure very fast, in 2 or 3 minutes. Only Seche Vite is better that CND Air Dry in this aspect. It tends to become a bit gloppy after 2/3 of use, but if you add a few drops of thinner it "revives" and you can use it until the last drop of product. It gives a nice glossy effect, but a bit less than Seche Vite.
Cons: similarly to Seche Vite, I won't recommend to use CND Air Dry over a stamping manicure, because it tends to smudge a bit.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri:è stato per anni il mio top coat preferito, complice il fatto che lo prendessi on line su siti UK per due spicci. L'ho recensito qui, ma repetita iuvant quindi...
Pro: asciuga piuttosto rapidamente il vostro smalto di base, anche se è un gradino sotto il Seche Vite e l'Air Dry. In compenso, tende a smudgare molto meno eventuali stamping o decori. Si addensa intorno ai 2/3 di boccetta e si rivitalizza facilmente con un thinner. Dona un effetto glossy molto marcato.
Contro: a volte opacizza lo smalto ma... A spot, non omogeneamente! Risultato: avete le unghie belle lucide con queste zone opacizzate. Molto fastidioso ed antiestetico. Accade sporadicamente e solo con certi smalti, quindi credo sia un problema di formulazioni che "cozzano".
Costo e reperibilità: distribuito da Paglieri e una volta reperibile in molte Coop e Bennet, pare essere diventato un'esclusiva Sephora che ha ritoccato il prezzo al rialzo portandolo a 9€.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri: it used to be my favourite top coat. Maybe because I ordered it from UK websites and paid a very cheap price for it!!! My full review about Insta-Dri is here.
Pros: it dries your manicure quite fast. It doesn't tend to smudge stamping nail arts. It becomes a bit gloppy after 2/3 of use but it "revives" with a few drops of thinner. It gives to your nail polish a very nice glossy effect.
Cons: sometimes it dries in an odd way. The finish is very glossy, but with some "matte" spots, usually on the upper part of the nail. It happens rarely and I think it's due to some formula conflicts.
Molto diversi rispetto al Sally Hansen sono, invece, costo e reperibilità: si trova facilmente da OVS, Acqua&Sapone, La Saponeria, Coin, eccetera. E soprattutto costa solo 1.99€!
NYC Turbo Dry: it has essentially the same characteristics of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. Maybe because they have an almost identical INCI?!? There are some minor differences but only at the end of the INCI list. It has the same "random matte spots" issue too, even if it seems to me that it happens a bit more frequently than with Insta-Dri. But maybe it's just a coincidence. Anyway, it is much cheaper than Insta-Dri, in Italy and in US for sure!
Ed ecco terminata questa lunga battaglia tra top coat! Qual è il vostro preferito? Si nasconde tra questi o avete altro che magari mi consigliereste di provare?
