Today a new nail art challenge starts for me and other polished friends. It's called "Winter Nail Art Challenge" and is hosted by Helena from Lacky Corner.
I'm sooooo happy I had the chance to join this group because I love meeting other nail polish addicts from all over the world, it's so fun!
Anyway, the first of our nine appointments has as a main theme "Christmas Lights/Candles", so I decided to create a very classic Xmas Lights nail art.
I started with a white jelly base, which is Zoya Adel. I wanted to add a touch of metallic sparkle so I gently dabbed with a sponge a tiny quantity of China Glaze Jolly Holly, which is IMO the perfect green for Christmas, and Essence A Piece of Forever, a streaky metallic gold.
Then I used my acrylic colours to draw the lights wire and bulbs. On my ring finger, I decided to do a sort of accent nail: I didn't draw the bulbs with acrylics, but I added some coloured rhinestones.
And that's it!

Oggi per me e altre smaltare internazionali inizia una nuova sfida nailartosa, quella della Winter Nail Art Challenge, composta da nove appuntamenti che ci accompagneranno fino al 30 dicembre. Sono davvero felice di essermi unita a questo gruppo, avevo un serio bisogno di nuovi stimoli per il blog. Comunque, il primo tema è "Christmas Lights/Candles" e io ho deciso di buttarmi sulle classiche lucine di Natale.
Ho iniziato con una base bianca e candida, Zoya Adel (che vedrete presto anche da solo), a cui ho voluto conferire un tocco di colore spugnandovi sopra una minuscola quantità di China Glaze Jolly Holly (il verde natalizio per eccellenza, IMO) e di Essence A Piece of Forever (oro metallico).
Poi, ho usato gli acrilici per disegnare i fili e le lampadine. Per l'anulare ho invece optato per una sorta di accent, scegliendo di non disegnare i bulbi delle lampadine ma di applicare degli strass colorati che ne ricordassero la forma.
