Oggi la nostra puntata della Finishpedia è dedicata agli smalti suede, ovvero dei cugini evoluti dei matte. Al pari dei matte, infatti, gli suede sono completamente opachi, ma in più contengono delle particelle shimmer che, ovviamente, non vanno a riflettere la luce come siamo abituate solitamente, a meno che non copriate il tutto con un bel top coat glossy.
Il mio suede preferito di sempre è lo Zoya Posh della Matte Velvet. Quello in mio possesso è l'originale, proveniente dalla collezione 2009 poi riveduta, corretta e riproposta lo scorso anno.
Zoya Posh è un incredibile rosso che all'apparenza sembra davvero velluto. Ogni tanto mi scopro ad accarezzarlo con gli occhi a cuoricino. Coprente in una sola passata, si applica senza troppi problemi, mostrando dei brushstrokes che vanno completamente a sparire una volta asciutto - ed asciuga davvero molto velocemente.
L'unico contro di Posh è quello tipico dei matte - la durata! Non va oltre il terzo giorno perché tende a sbeccarsi. Di solito, giunta al terzo giorno "fatale", applico un top coat così "evolvo" la mia manicure e al contempo ne prolungo la durata.

Today's appointment with our Finishpedia is dedicated to suedes, which could be considered as "cousins" of mattes.
Like mattes, suedes are completely opaque, but they also contain shimmer particles that, obviously, don't reflect the light as "standard" shimmers usually do, unless you apply a glossy top coat.
My favourite suede ever is Zoya Posh from Matte Velvet Collection. My Posh is the original one, that means that it comes from the 2009 Collection: as you'd probably know, Matte Velvet was repromoted last year with some minor changements in its formula.
Zoya Posh is an incredible red that really seems velvet. Sometimes I caress it because I can't resist (I know, this sounds quite crazy). It's opaque in just one coat and it's quite easy to apply; during application, it shows some brushstrokes that completely disappear once the polish is dried - and it dries very fast.
Unfortunately, like usually mattes do, it doesn't last for long on the nails: on day 3 it usually chips. If I want to keep Posh on my nails for more days, I usually apply a glossy top coat on day 3, so my manicure lasts longer and I can admire Posh in its "bright" version too.
