Per la Finishpedia stavolta giochiamo col satin, per gli amici gommoso, dato che è proprio questo l'aspetto che questo finish mostra. Insomma, il satin è un matte che vuole diventare grande e glossy, ma non ce l'ha ancora fatta.
Per rappresentarlo ho scelto l'Orly Old School Orange della Plastix del 2010, che m'era piaciuta tanto da acquistarla in toto. Old School Orange è un arancio decisamente molto acceso ma non ancora neon, coprente in due passate facilissime. Ci mette parecchio ad asciugare, e questo è un handicap non da poco per uno smalto che non vuole il top coat per mantenere le sue caratteristiche; e difatti qualche segno di lenzuolo sulle mie unghie potete vederlo.
La durata è buona, non si sbecca come un matte, ma tende a consumarsi ai lati e in punta.

Today we're going to show you a satin nail polish for our Finishpedia. Satins are also called rubberized, because they dry with a satin finish. In short, I'd say that satins are just like mattes that want to grow and become glossy, but haven't succeeded in this purpose yet.
The satin shade I picked is Orly Old School Orange from Plastix Collection (2010). I liked this collection so much that I bought all four shades! Old School Orange is a very bright but not neon orange with a very good pigmentation. It's opaque in two super easy coats but takes a lot to dry, which is a big drawback for a nail polish on which you can't apply a top coat if you want to keep its satin aspect. In my pics, you'll surely notice some sheet marks.
Longevity is not bad, it doesn't chip like mattes usually do, but it's quite sensitive to tip wear.
