Raramente ho atteso tanto per scrivere una review quanto col prodotto del giorno, l'Illamasqua Light Liquid Foundation (nella colorazione #150, per pelli medio-chiare con sottotono rosa). Dopo parecchie settimane ho infine deciso: il mio rapporto con lui è di amore-odio.
Perché il Light Liquid Foundation ha sicuramente il pregio delle texture leggera, che quasi non si sente sulla pelle, coniugata con una buona coprenza senza essere costrette a stratificare e ad una colorazione perfetta per me, ma anche dei difetti che non possono essere sottovalutati.
In primis, è davvero difficile da lavorare. Nonostante la texture leggera di cui sopra, è molto complicato applicarlo ottenendo un risultato omogeneo: sembra che la pelle non riesca ad assorbirlo e lascia delle strisce di prodotto orribili a vedersi. Insomma, l'unico modo per stenderlo bene è armarsi di molta pazienza, e applicarne poco alla volta lavorandolo molto bene con piccoli movimenti circolari con un pennello tondo a setole fitte e piuttosto rigide.
Una volta steso, poi, lascia sulla pelle un risultato che più che luminoso tende ad essere untuoso. Va assolutamente fissato con un'ottima cipria opacizzante se non si vuole rischiare il famoso effetto Paraflu. Purtroppo, tende a lucidarsi anche abbastanza in fretta (dopo 5-6 ore), ai lati del naso, e per me è davvero poco se pensiamo che stiamo parlando di un prodotto di fascia alta. Per fortuna, se ritoccato, rimane dov'è, senza scomparire, dalla mattina fino alla sera.
Insomma, se da un lato mi sento di sconsigliarlo a chi ha pelle mista o grassa, onde scongiurare l'effetto pantegana unta di cui sopra, dall'altro non mi verrebbe da promuoverlo nemmeno per chi ha pelle secca o normale, dato che tende ad evidenziare moltissimo eventuali pellicine o zone secche.
In breve: buon'effetto finale, ma che fatica enorme ottenerlo, e soprattutto dura intatto per troppo poco tempo. Non è assolutamente una performance accettabile per un fondotinta che costa, a prezzo pieno, ben 27£ (io, per fortuna, l'ho pagato solo 10). Lo terminerò senza troppi patemi, ma senza nemmeno chissà quali entusiasmi e di certo non lo ricomprerò.

After many, many weeks of use, I realized that I have a love-hate relationship with the product of the day, which is Illamasqua Light Liquid Foundation (in #150 for light to medium skin with pink undertones).Why I love Light Liquid Foundation: it has a very light texture, it seems that I didn't apply anything on my skin, it gives a very good coverage with a few product and the colour is really perfect for me.Why I hate Light Liquid Foundation: wow, for many reasons. First-of-all, it's very hard to work with: it seems that the product doesn't want to blend into my skin at all and leaves streaky lines. I tried many application methods and I obtained decent results only with a foundation brush with thick and quite rigid bristles: I apply a tiiiiiny quantity of product and then work it with circular, slow motions.Once applied, and despite the light texture, it leaves the skin quite greasy and oily-looking: you have to fix it with a very high quality mattifying powder and the result is not so longlasting, because after about 5 hours I have shiny zones near my nose. Luckily, after applying one more time a mattifying powder, it stays intact until the end of the day.For these reasons, I would say that it isn't a good foundation for ladies with a combination/oily skin, but on the other hand I wouldn't recommend to ladies who have a dry skin, because it tends to underline a lot dry spots or wrinkle.In conclusion: the final effect is not so bad, but it's very hard-working to obtain it, and moreover it doesn't last so long. In my humble opinion, the performance of this foundation is not adequate if we think that it costs 27£ (luckily, I bought it while it was on sale and paid 10£ only for it). I will surely finished the bottle I have, but I won't repurchase it for sure and honestly I won't recommend it to anybody.I already had a bad experience with another Illamasqua foundation and I don't think I will try more...
